What we label
- Jars of sauces, jams, honey and pickles.
- Bottles of drinks, oils, cosmetics and cleaning products.
- Candles, soaps and handmade goods.
- Boxes, bags and shipping cartons.
- Price, barcode and batch labels.
Choosing the right material
Where a label lives determines what it should be made of. Products kept in a fridge, shower or ice bucket need waterproof vinyl or a laminated label, otherwise paper will wrinkle and peel. Oily products need a label that resists grease. Dry goods on a shelf can use paper. Our sticker materials guide explains the options.
Label design checklist
- Measure the flat area of the container – curves limit how wide a label can be.
- Include product name, contents, weight or volume, ingredients and allergens for food.
- Add a best-before or batch area if you write these by hand.
- Keep barcodes at a scannable size with a quiet zone around them.
- Allow 2mm bleed and keep text 2mm inside the cut line.

Choose the lead time that suits your date: Economy (around 5 working days, 10% off), Standard (around 3 working days, listed price), Express (next working day, +20%) or Same-day (eligible items in by 09:00 Mon–Fri, +30%). The clock starts once payment and approved artwork are both in.
Same-day is priced high on purpose. If you can give us a few days, Economy or Standard saves you money.
Pricing
Label prices depend on size, shape, material and quantity, and whether you need them on sheets or rolls. Standard options are priced online; the team quotes the rest. Start with a smaller run to test the label on your container before ordering in bulk.

How to order label printing: set up the item in the shop and the price updates as you change the options. Attach your artwork at checkout – or ask for design help, which is charged separately. Payment is by Yoco card payment or EFT, in full for orders under R5,000 and with a 65% deposit from R5,000 up. When it is ready, pick it up at our Rivonia shop on a weekday between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM, or have it couriered to you at a quoted cost.
